I dreadfully hated some parts of the sketch I posted a few posts ago, so I decided to fix it all up and make it better, so I can ink it without feeling bad about my drawing. Tell me if anything should be fixed, 'cause I plan on inking and coloring this soon, so I can start off my comic.




P.s: I have finally chosen two scenes from His dark materials out of all my my favorites that I'll draw in full color in photoshop, if you have any specific scenes in mind, I will draw it, too, if I have the time

Here's a preliminary sketch I came up with, it'll be the cover for the first chapter of my manga, a fantasy epic called "Omen". I just wanted to see what you guys thought of this before I inked and colored. I personally like it very much, but I'd still like to get more than just my own opinion.  Also, does anyone have any ideas for a good website where I can host my websomic? Not deviantart or drunkduck or keenspot, please, I've tried all of those and it didn't work out. Also, in the final colored version of this, I plan to have digitally painted water, anyone have any tips as to  how to paint decent water? It's harder than it looks, I've tried, I should know...



I hate it when I constantly break LJ layouts... >_<))))

And as a side note, I'm also planning a series of His dark materials Images. I will be drawing the most important scenes in the books, and also my favorite, which aren't necesserally the most important, but certanly awesome, nonetheless. I'll post a list of them later on, when I've figured out exactly which scenes I want to draw.

Microns are the best inking pens ever!!! Allthough, I'm horrible at inking, I ruin all my drawings when I ink... This is just an idea that came to me. I originally wanted to give him ripped wings, but I forgot to do that, and when I started inking, it was too late. Colored with colored pencils, 'cause it's been a long time since i've colored with traditional media. Don't know if I'll pursue this design and make more drawings or not, depends. I also tried to give him some texture, but it only shows up really well in some areas. I honestly think you can get results as good as copic markers with colored pencil.



Also, I need a good website to host my manga. I'm going to start it soon, keep an eye out for the lineart for the cover of the first chapter, at least.

My first oekaki. I just wanted to try it out for the fun of it. I didn't quite get the handle of the tools, and I completely messed up my color palette near the end, but it was still fun to do. I don't do backgrounds, does it show?

I have recently gotten a tablet. Which now means that I can draw to my heart's content, and be able to post it for all to see... Well... here's my logo, still unfinished, because I need to add the colors, but that won't take long. I have an art trade and a request to do after, which is awesome, because I love drawing.

I've tried using the picture from my previous post for my userpic, but it hasn't worked... I got THIS userpic, which I am very pleased with, from Neondragon
